SFS had one change from our Semi final matchup which changed the middle two pairs.
We batted first, and made a very slow start with an early runout, and two more wickets in each of the second and third overs. Pax and King ended up making 8 runs with 5 wickets lost. Pax hit a four and a three, for a net 6 runs from 12 balls after two wickets. King hit a seven, for a net 2 runs from 12 balls after three wickets.
Phil faced the first over of the second pair starting with a wide followed by two catches and then Mahstar was runout twice at the non strikers end. The next two overs built the runs back up to 14, before another four wickets in the fourth over undid all the batting work done. The partnership was -12. Phil hit a five, for a net -17 from 13 balls after 5 wickets and facing 3 extras. Mahstar hit five 2s for a net -3 from 11 balls after three runouts and facing 1 extra.
Bob and Thorpe lost three wickets in their first over including the jackpot ball, but then lost just one more wicket for the innings. After several 4s and 3s they finished with a partnership of 15 runs to take out total score to 27. Bob hit two 3s, for a net zero runs from 16 balls after the two wickets and facing 3 extras. Thorpe hit a three and three 4s, for a net 9 runs from 10 balls after 2 wickets.
Our total of 27 was never going to be enough to win this match.
