14th May vs Plaster Masters

This team we faced, we hadn't played against before as far as I know, although some of the players we have faced on other teams.

Daints took over from Pax for this match, which left our team as Philbert, Bruce, Cap'n, Mahstar, Don, King, Thorpe and Daints.

We batted first and Philbert left the first ball go, and we deemed it as a poofta. Scoring was tough out there as only one scoring shot came from the bat in the first over with a three. Bruce's first ball was also deemed to be a poofta, and then he was runout next ball. The second over was a little better with Bruce hitting a three and Philbert hitting a five, but getting caught in the middle of the over meant the total was still just 5 after two overs. They got the score upto 9 runs after the third ball in the third over, but finished the over with a Bowled, Runout and Stumping. The fourth over they kept their wickets in tact, and got the score back to zero. Phil made 16 from 13 legal deliveries but lost 3 wickets and faced 2 wides. Bruce made 5 from 9 legal but lost 2 wickets.

Cap'n and Mahstar found it tough to bat with runs coming in 2s and singles, they made 22 with no wickets lost but Mahstar was bowled from a no ball. They managed to steal one run, which was very skillfully done, with Bob making the quick dash to the strikers end. Bob made 12 from 9 legal deliveries, whilst Mahstar made 6 from 13 legal deliveries and faced a wide and noball.
