We previously played this team a month ago when Cap'n Bob was out of action and Pax took over the captaincy. I need to catch up on the report from that game. We made 141 and kept them to 58.
I was told that Pax had been wanting a close game since our previous two games we won easy.
We fielded and bowled first with their first pair having some good and some bad overs. King (6), Mahstar (14), Thorpe (0) and Lobstar (10) bowled the first four overs. Mahstar's over saw 2 no balls, due to landing off the pitch or hitting the roof net. Bob took a great catch in Thorpe's over, and a runout came when the ball was hit straight back, and Thorpe flicked the ball onto the stumps at the bowlers end. There were a few big shots played to get the score upto 30.
The second pair added 41 with Pax (6), Bob (22), Philbert (9) and The Don (4) taking the ball. Bob took a brilliant one handed catch from Pax's over, but then took some stick with the ball, after they took back to back 7s from the sixth over.
