Arrgh boys. Was a big win against some big fellas. We set the tone early with Pax and the King playing some serious shots to set 51 for the opening pair, these boys were searching for the back net on all occasions and looking to steal too. Philbert and Mahster struggled early but ended up getting some runs on the board to help the total along. Bruce and Malpass stroll in and went the bash and the steal as quick as possible. At one stage they stolel two runs on a leg side wide, great running boys. This of course fired up the fielding side but it was all good fun. Thorp and Cap'n came in and kept the score board ticking over nicely with some sevens and fives. I look to Mahster to get the partnership totals up for us and maybe some other stats.
We had a heap to defend and we did it well. The first pair got some early runs and looked good but that was about it. The rest of the team kept around the first pairs score so we weren't really challenged but we did keep the pressure up. Again it would be good to get some bowling figures from Mahster. A great effort all round with some brilliance in the field from Thorp and a heap from Pax. Malpass reported a little insect flew in front of him and stole his throw but I never noticed, I just saw him hanging back and not attacking the ball a bit!! Ha ha.
