The Speech:

Hello all. As you are probably all aware Monday night is the semi final. If we win Monday night we automatically qualify for the Grand final. If we lose we have a second chance but have to play on Wednesday night to try and qualify. We are playing the dream team on Monday. Last time we played them we had a couple of fill in players. We didn't have Dog or Bendy or The Don. We lost that game by 19 runs. Mostly due to some uncontrolled batting. (See the May 23rd archive on Drews Blog for details.) This week will be different. Dog has declared he is unavailable to play all of next week, and Pax is unavailable on Wednesday nights. We need to win Monday night. Batting pairs and order will most likely be.
Bendy & Dave. Cap'n & Little Mahster. The Don & The King. Pax & Daints. The key to winning this game is sensible batting. They are a young side with good skills but can quite easily lose their cool. We will work on that. Bendy & Dave you guys will need to have your calls loud and clear.
The game starts at 7.50pm to allow a ten minute warm up session. I am not sure if this is wise given the average age and fitness level of the team. Probably still try and get there a little early just to chew the fat. Make sure everyone is in uniform guys. Every run counts.
We can definately win this game. Lets make sure we do.
