You kind of get the feeling that there was only one man out on the court Monday night and his name was King Richard. Taking the lion’s share of the votes, there was never really anyone else in with a chance. A member of the highest scoring pair, by the time he’d finished his first over it was all over bar the shouting. The only real question was who he’d give his 3 votes to.
In the end, the top 3 were clearly ahead of the rest, taking 39 of the 48 votes available.
Final 3-2-1 were:
Votes for MVP
3 – The King
2 – Pax
1 – The Don
That tightens up the top of the leader board with 3 players sharing the lead and 3 others just one vote behind. A good finals series is going to be the difference:
Running Total MVP
4 –Daints, Pax, The King
3 – Rooster, Little Mah-Star, The Don
2 – Dave
1 – Malpass
With The King and The Don taking the 3 and 1 votes respectively, they’ve made a huge leap in the pairs totals but a strong performance from Pax ensures that his partnership with Daints moves out to a healthy lead on all other pairs.
Pairs Totals
Pax/Daints – 42
The Don/The King - 31
Cap’n/Little Mah-Star – 30
Dave/Malpass – 26
Rooster/Bendy – 19
The Don/Malpass – 14
Rooster/Dave – 6
As I mentioned Monday night the votes for finals won’t be doubled for this season as this would give too much weighting to the final 2 or 3 games.
