MVP 20/7/06 - Diggers

Considering how well everyone played last night, I would have thought there would have been more of a spread of votes. But as seems to happen a lot, one pair all but scooped the pool with pretty much everyone else as also-rans. There may be some debate as to whether The Rooster played a good game or just talked a good game, but either way he ended up with a record 6 out of 7 Best On Ground votes. An incredible performance for a man coming back from a week’s break. Must be the beard.

That tightens up the top of the leader board and also means that all players who’ve played since voting began are now on the list. Unfortunately with a maximum of 3 votes available only 4 players can still take out the top prize.

In case you were wondering, I’ll be using the old Brownlow count back system (before they went all girly and decided you could have more than one winner….as if!). In the event of a tie, it will go to the player with the most 3 votes, then 2 votes, then 1 vote and if results are still tied, it will go on over all votes received from all players.

Well, after the last game I said that Pax and Daints had a lock on the pairs trophy but a similar performance by the Rooster/Bendy combination as this week could not only see The Rooster take out the Individual MVP, but lead them to a win in the pairs total as well.
