Having delaying the start of the DC 2006 season, Dave decided to use the World Cup format of splitting the teams into groups of 4, with 3 rounds before half the teams are eliminated and from then on it's a knockout competition.
There were 16 managers who submitted their teams initially months ago, and now we have to adjust our squads to comply with the new competition rules. We have to remove one player from our squads and make sure the total points used doesn't exceed 490.
Some people think that the competition has been rigged in the past as Dave seems to win alot of the time and is almost always in the finals.
DaveCricket has been running since 1998, with varing rules each year. There have been several different champion managers since the start.
