Capn's comments V Black Hill Steves

Arre lads. A rare strike of form against a very good opposition. This game usually goes right to the wire, but this week we rolled them. They batted first and we could do no wrong. The first three pairs really struggled to score against a quality bowling attack. The first two pairs ran themselves out on the jackpot ball and never regained gripped on the score board. Pax and Raddis were probably close to my stand out bowlers, but everyone did a cracking job. The first three pairs only posted two runs total so we felt comfortable. The King and Daints did some very nice things in the field also. The final pair came out and belted 50 runs as they normally do, this meant we still had to bat okay.
We did bat okay. The pair of Philbert and King again did a great job to open the account, Phil choosing back net over the sides. Cap and Mahster put on a few but lost a couple of wickets along the way. The Dainton boys took it to the batsmen and heaped on the pressure by playing smart shots and keeping the plan simple. This left Raddis and Pax to come out and close the deal. Both boys did so brilliantly and pushed the score well up. Great job lads, be fired up and ready to go at 8.40pm on Monday. Arrre.
Cap'n Bob.
