11th December 2006 vs Who were they?

Ok, I really should have done this last week... had to much time to do it and ended up wasting much of it. Now i'm to tired to do it. We won the game by 7.

We bowled first and the first over I wasn't on the field, being late once again. Perhaps thats why I'm so late in writing this report. For those of you who are relying on this report I appologise for the delay.

Our team lineup was Cap'n & Mahstar, Daints & Thorpe, Don & King, Pax & Bendy.

My scorecard is very scratchy for our bowling as I didn't have a scorer on the night. What I do have is their first pair making 27 runs with 12 from the first over and the overs bowled by King, Mahstar, Pax and Bendy. Their second pair added 26 to take the score to 53 with the overs bowled by Thorpe (2), Bob (-1), Pax (13), Don (12). The third pair put on 30 with the overs bowled by Daints (9), Mahstar (18), Bendy (8) and Bob (-5). The final pair got close to 100 but some runouts late meant they ended up making just 10 runs with the overs bowled by Thorpe (-3), King (6), Daints (11), Don (-4).

Our victory target score was 94.

Cap'n and Mahstar batted 1st again, and started with a dot ball and followed with a seven. The next ball Mahstar was bowled, the first over ended with a four. We didn't lose another wicket until the start of the fourth over when Mahstar was bowled again. The 2nd and 3rd overs saw 25 runs with Bob making 20. The fourth over added another 15 runs after the wicket. The partnership was 42 with Cap'n making 39 from 11 balls plus a wide, while Mahstar having being bowled twice made -1 from 13 balls and faced a no ball which he hit for another two runs. It was an awesome batting display by the cap'n.

Daints and Thorpe stumbled a few times with an early catch, before building the innings up to 29 and ending with a catch from the last ball. Thorpe hit two 5s and two 4s, but lost three wickets which left his score on 5 from 13 balls and facing two wides, while Daints made 11 from 11 with 2s and singles and facing two extras. The partnership made 24 runs.

Don and King wanted to make more of a challenge for the last pair and got runout from the jackpot ball. They were runout three more times on their way to making 6 runs. King hit a five, and Don hit a three, while the rest of the scores were in 2s and singles. Don made 2 from 13 balls while King made 4 from 11 balls and neither faced a wide or noball.

Pax and Bendy saw us home with an easy 28 and facing just one wide. Pax was runout once. They both made 13 from 12 balls, without anything more than side net shots.
