Raddis got bowled by a girl! I need to get this out in the open as I’m not sure if its wrong to laugh in these politically correct times and I don’t want to be discouraging , but he got bowled by a girl! And then to follow up a couple of balls later he had a poofter to a girl (Does that make it a Lesbian?)
Anyway that’s done . I’ll leave it up to individuals to either give him a hard time or give sympathy and encouragement.
I thought the fielding and bowling effort was great. We probably didn’t get as many wickets as we had chances to, but the wickets we got seemed to be timely and managed to peg back the total from a potential 130 to 140 back to a gettable 105. The Rabbi’s efforts and foot skills in the field was great and he saved stacks of runs by keeping the ball off the net. (Unlucky not to have some run-outs as well.) Its was also a highlight to see Daints bamboozle the bats with the quality of his spin bowling. I think he’s the back up for Warney in the rebel 20/20 tournament in India where they let the old blokes play. The Kings last over was Awesome. The King and Philbert got us off to a real solid start and maybe we are starting to take the runs they are getting for granted. Some sevens in amongst scoring net shots and a few wickets got us close to 40 from the first 4. The father /son combination of Daints and Bendy was a bit rusty for the first couple of overs before they pegged back some runs off their final 2. Bendy just couldn’t play a bad outdoor cricket shot and get the angles needed. Good hitting though. Not sure what went on with the Rabbi and Chanka. I’m not going to say much except I don’t think we went backwards but maybe we did. I think what it did do was give the opposition false belief that they had it won. Thorp and pax again had a task ahead. Thorp gave a couple of early chances but they kept the score ticking. They managed to sneak a few runs which seemed to unsettle the other side a bit. A couple of back net shots as well as the scoring side net shots got us in front with two balls to spare. When Pax blocked out the last 2 balls I think that tipped the opponents over the edge with the bloke who bowled the last over refusing to shake the Presidents hand. Always nice to have a quality win and upset the other team in the process. Well done fellas. Looking forward to the return of the Cap’n and the other regulars next week. Big Thanks to the fill-ins. Hope you had fun.
(Capn's note, great job to Thorp for his captaining and write up!!)

Great to hear that Pax can still block out the final two balls for the win.. if he keeps doing it then we will expect him to do it all the time.
