Arre lads. We had a crack, but our old foes the Ponies were just to strong. We needed to put more runs on the board when we were batting and when we were fielding we simply missed a lot of our chances to hit the stumps. Kings glove work when Pax was bowling was sublime, although it is probably worth noting just how good Paxs' glove work is all the time, we have just gotten use to it. Well done boys, anything that keeps "Golden Gloves Reid" from getting behind the stumps is a good thing. Speaking of the Golden one, it was good to see him and Don pushing through to steal some runs, although Bruce should probably worry about his end more than the Dons, bad luck Bruce. We played well boys and it felt like a real workout, we just couldn't quite hold them. Next time. Next week we are playing Black Hill Steves at 7.30pm so bring your soggy calamari to flick in their eyes. Arrrre.
Cap'n Bob.
