Arrre boys a tight tough win. Just what the cap'n ordered. A solid batting performance but probably fell just short, but with the lack of uniform on the other side it was just enough. Thorp summed up the night beautifully with the comment, "You are always in with a chance against a psycho" so well put, and against a psych we played. He got upset about stolen runs and his own lack of control with the ball. By the end of our innings he thought the stumps were somewhere near Pax and Thorps heads. Anyway we did pretty well in th e field and restricted them where we could. It all came down to the last pair and when the psycho hit a return chest mark to me on the jackpot ball the pressure was on them. Bruce just spilt a catch on the next ball and Philbert took a nice catch on the next, and they were in strife. They battled on and we bowled tight. The Don took the final over and was brilliant. A couple of waist high full tosses and a killer bouncer had the psycho in serious trouble. Top effort guys, nice to get another win up. Early game next week so fire up early. Arrre.
