Arre. Arrrre. Arre. Lads. Was another very tight tussle, and I guess the lads from Black Hill were due a win in close. We were in with a sniff all game but never really had it in total control, mostly due to th oppositions great work. Our fielding had some highlights with big bad Bruce demolishing the stumps on a few occasions and also plucking a nice catch. Thorp took a screamer that he really had no right to get too. The Don and Philbert also did some nice work up the ground. However we grassed a few and missed some runouts we should have hit. I still thought 101 was very gettable but that proved to be wrong. Philbert and King kicked us off nicely with a sensible partnership that showed why they are now batting together. Mahster and I just couldn't quite keep the board rolling the way I would have liked. The Don and Bruce batted with smarts aswell and looked good all the way through. Thorp and Pax had a real good go but ended up just short of where we needed to be coming into the second last over. Black Hill had a couple of pretty handy bowlers to bring on and the score was just out of reach. A great knock by both the boys though. Well done lads. Bad luck, but we will be back next season.
