It's amazing how much of the votes a dependant on the details in these reports.
Last week I was a little busy every day and night, and as such didn't get the report written, so I'm writing it now.
We batted first after winning toss and Cap'n with Mahstar got away to a resonable start with 11 from the first over, but four wickets in the other three overs meant that our partnership ended on 11 runs. The Don and the King made several runs off of the bat, but losing 5 wickets in the process meant the net partnership was zero. Philbert and Daints batted third pair, and had a shocking start when Philbert tried some big shots early and was caught from the jackpot ball. Within the first two overs, Phil was caught three times from 5 balls faced. Phil was caught once more in the third over faced, but managed to hit one 7. Daints played the consistent 2s, which allowed them to net 11 runs in the pair. Pax and Bendy took little risk, as they made 2s and singles almost every ball which allowed them to make 34 runs by losing no wickets.
It was a marginably defensible score of 56 runs. The towners started on -5 due to uniform. Their first pair was 12, with King, Mahstar, Pax and Bendy bowling. Their second pair made 39 with Phil, Don, Mahstar and Pax. The third pair made 10 with Cap'n, Daints, Don and Bendy bowling. The fourth pair made 31 with King, Daints, Cap'n and Philbert bowling.
The major highlight during our bowling was King's awesome catch. Having dropped a resonably easy catch the ball before, he took a blinder. The ball was hit with major power and he just plucked the ball out of the air.
Towners are on top of the ladder and we were second on the ladder.
